19 Nov 100cameras has Honored Me!
I’m happy to share that I’m officially on the Board of Creatives for 100cameras, a fantastic non-profit organization that teaches youth in marginalized areas around the world to be photojournalists. These new aspiring photojournalists are taught to shoot great photographs depicting their everyday lives: from playing with friends to capturing what their neighborhood looks like. The photographs are then sold on the 100cameras.org. One hundred percent of the proceeds made from the sale of a photograph(s) go right back to that child by way of monetary support for their health, education or some other lifeline (i.e. a roof over their head, border protections and more).
As a member of the Board of Creatives my job will be to talk about their organization right here on this blog, via my social media platforms and at small gatherings where I tell local creatives, aspiring students and anyone who wants to be involved with 100cameras, about the opportunities.
100cameras is a phenomenal organization and I look forward to sharing more with you in the near future. Until then, please check out my interview with one of the co-founders Angela Popplewell and check out the 100cameras Shop to view all the amazing photographs from New City to Sudan.
